Carol lived on Hayes Street when both of us were in grade school at John Adams and I on nearby Johnson Street during the period 1956-63. We played together in grade school. Once in fourth grade I was mean to her, as bratty little boys are wont to do, and I felt so bad about it later that I said I was sorry and befriended her. We hung out together quite a lot when I was in seventh grade and she in sixth.

I wanted to share this about Carol Kalrider. Carol and I attended Central Jr High together and the thing I remember about her the most was one of the talent contest she and I both participated in. She sang " Let me entertain you". She wore a formal and even took her clove off and threw it into the audience.
